At Preservation Treatments, Social Responsibility is extremely important to us. We are extremely proud of the efforts we go through to ensure that we operate in an environmentally friendly manner, whilst also maintaining our high standards of social responsibility. On this page we explore several aspects of these Environmental and Social responsibilities.

Corporate and Social Responsibility

We value both the local community and wider society and we regularly take part in charity events to raise money for our Corporate Charity, Macmillan Cancer Support. The highlight of this is the annual Macmillan Coffee Morning, which all of our staff (Office workers, Operatives and Surveyors) enjoy participating in.

Environmental Responsibility

ISO14001 Logo

At Preservation Treatments we are committed to sustainable practices which is reflected by the organisation’s values and attitude.

We have ISO 14001:2015 accreditation; this is an Environmental Management System (EMS) which shows that:

  • Our Environmental Policy is supported by senior management.
  • We are committed to preventing pollution.
  • We comply with the legal environmental standards.
  • We continually try to improve our environmental performance and reduce our environmental impact.

We do this by:

  • Recycling where possible.
  • Where waste is non-recyclable we use licensed skips and waste providers.
  • Use our resources efficiently and in a socially responsible manner.
  • We ensure that all of our operatives are aware of safe disposal of materials and each vehicle carries a spill-kit to handle any accidental spillage quickly and effectively.
  • Tracking our vehicle petrol consumption and encouraging environmentally responsible driving techniques.

Equality and Diversity

We value our employees and individuals within society and ensure that our behaviour in everything we do and say mirrors these values. We have a fair recruitment process and all of our employees undertake annual Equality and Diversity Training.

Modern Slavery

From ‘Right to Work’ checks to Supply Chain Management, checks are made to ensure that we are not actively or inadvertently encouraging modern slavery.
