Ensuring Health & Safety / CDM regulations and safe working practices are always adhered to.

Working closely with relevant internal office teams and ensuring that work instructions are carried out and completed to the required specification.

Daily communication / reporting to Contracts Manager to ensure they are aware of current issues and / or areas of concern / satisfaction in relation to contracts and work being undertaken, including obtaining prior approval before any additional work is carried out.

To assist the Contracts Manager with any additional ad-hock operative related work that may need attention to ensure the smooth running of related jobs.

It is expected that as a front-line member of staff a professional approach in both appearance and attitude is always adhered to whilst representing the Company.

Contracts Administrator: Leeds

Contracts Administrator required for specialist waterproofing/damp proofing/timber preservation company based in Leeds. An administrative role that results in the smooth running of this regional contracts department.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Organising operational staff and ensuring required service response, quality and maximum productivity and profitability
  • Interacting between clients, surveyors, suppliers, in-house technicians and sub-contractors
  • Preventing and minimising any loss of production together with maintaining profitability and cost controls
  • Reviewing and updating the work-boards on a rolling week/month basis
  • Ensuring client satisfaction throughout and developing client relationships
  • Processing invoicing and application for payments
  • Following procedures for Health & Safety
  • Ensuring method statements, risk assessments and COSHH data are completed
  • Managing and prioritising phone calls, emails and document control
  • Providing support to the Contracts Manager

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • High work standards, to be organised and efficient, to maximise output
  • Excellent time management and communication skills and to work well within a team
  • The ability to work well under pressure, to be able to prioritise workload and an ability to multitask
  • A willingness to react and find solutions to problems and issues as they occur
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Package – particularly Outlook, Word and Excel

Hours 8.00 am to 5.00 pm – Monday to Friday.

Salary in the region of £23,000 dependant on experience.

South West Operative: Bristol and South West

  • First & Second Fix Joinery

It is expected that as a front-line member of staff a professional approach in both appearance and attitude is always adhered to whilst representing the Company.

The successful applicant will need to ensure that every measure is taken to achieve the highest standards of service to the customer/client.

Always ensuring that Health & Safety / CDM regulations and safe working practices are adhered to at all times.

Daily communication/reporting to Contracts team ensuring that they are aware of progress/any issues and/or concerns in relation to contracts and work being undertaken.

To ensure that work instructions are carried out and completed to the required specification and obtaining prior approval before any additional work is carried out.

To assist the Contracts Manager with any additional ad-hock operative related work that may need attention to ensure the smooth running of related jobs.

Training is always ongoing and may on occasion require an overnight stay.

Place of work is Bristol and Southwest and from time to time further afield when the need arises.

Office Administrator: Leeds

An opportunity exists in our busy Office based in Whitehall Road, Leeds for a full-time Office Administrator

The position will involve all general office duties including:

  • Receiving and dealing with new enquiries through incoming phone calls and website requests
  • Booking in appointments with the appropriate surveyor and liaising with the client
  • Typing reports / letters / related documentation, ensuring that each conforms to the recognised in-house style
  • Checking reports for accuracy before they are sent out to clients
  • Updating progress within the in-house CRM system
  • Taking credit card receipts and logging appropriately
  • Any other ad-hoc administrative duties as required

The successful applicant will have excellent communication and organisational skills. They must be competent in the use of Microsoft Office, in particular Outlook and Word. Proven experience of a similar role is required. Attention to detail and a confident telephone manner is essential

Experience in the construction industry would be an advantage.

Surveyor: North London

Full-time role for a Property Preservation Surveyor, to build the company’s presence in North London and the surrounding areas.

Working with commercial and domestic clients, the ideal candidate will have a passion for preserving and protecting properties, combined with an enthusiasm and a confidence for driving sales. We are looking for candidates who are confident communicators, technically minded, possess a keen eye for detail and are sales and customer orientated.

As a Property Preservation Surveyor, the ideal candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Certificated Surveyor in Remedial Treatments (CSRT) and/or Certificated Surveyor in Structural Waterproofing (CSSW)
  • Experience in damp proofing, timber treatments, below ground waterproofing techniques, structural repair methods and condensation solutions. Knowledge of radon would also be an advantage
  • Sound knowledge of construction methods and building materials including historic methods
  • A proven track record of sales and development ideally gained within the construction industry
  • Be able to work decisively and independently with strong project management skills
  • Be adept at liaison between internal employees, site operatives, clients and external suppliers
  • A full clean driving licence

The role of Property Preservation Surveyor will include:

  • To undertake surveys and using strong technical knowledge to assess and recommend necessary works
  • To produce client reports, detailing survey results and quotation for works
  • Client liaison and client account management through face to face surveys, follow up and client development meetings
  • Day to day liaison with internal team members and external suppliers and manufacturers

  • Ideally, we are looking for someone with some experience of labouring, although we will provide training for the right applicant
