Paul Evans, CSRT and CSSW Surveyor
As an original member of the PCA Waterproofing Design Specialist (WDS) Register, Paul, along with colleague David Morton, is one of the few CSSW Surveyors on the PCA WDS Register.
BS8102:2022 – “Code of Practice for protection of below ground structures against water from the ground” – recommends that a specialist in waterproofing is included in the design team for any structure where usable space is fully or partly below the ground level. 4.2 code states that: “A waterproofing specialist should be included as part of the design team so that an integrated waterproofing solution is created”.
How long have you been a Surveyor?
I have been with Preservation Treatments since September 1999 and a CSRT qualified Surveyor since 2005, also passing my CSSW in 2008. I was part of the team that won PCA Contractor of the year 2013 and was highly commended as Employee of the Year for the industry in 2016.
What is your background?
My background is primarily dealing with domestic and commercial clients, for Rising Dampness, Timber Treatments and Structural Waterproofing. I am also part of the PCA Structural Waterproofing Steering Group
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I like to meet people, develop relationships with clients and provide solutions.
Do you have any areas of special interest?
Waterproofing is the area that I enjoy the most; It’s great to be able to offer a wide range of products and solutions to clients.
